World-Record-Setting World Cup

June 8, 2026

This summer, I will be trying to attend a World Cup game every day. June 11th to July 19th. 34 games in 39 days. Every game will be in a vlog in our YouTube channel.

Whenever I have told someone what I am doing, there are countless questions, but with a feat this big, it really can be broken down to the 5 Ws: Who, What, Where, When, and Why

When is simple

  • I fly to Mexico City on June 10th for the World Cup opener on June 11th and finish at the World Cup Final on July 19th at MetLife Stadium

Where is also simple

  • Below is the schedule of where I will be every day of the tournament

The World Record Schedule

Who is more exciting

  • At the time of writing this, I will be going to 28 of the 34 games alone.
  • A few times during this trip, other members of the Snapback Sports team will join me for games.
  • The other 3 special guests thus far are Cam Jordan, Cam Dicker, and Cam Little.
  • So if anyone wants to get us in touch with Cam Newton or Cam Johnson, just let us know, but in all seriousness, this was a complete coincidence.
  • The goal, though, is for us to make enough noise so that people want to join this journey, and we get more guests.
  • Timothée Chalamet at the France-Senegal game at MetLife in the afternoon, then going to Game 6 of the NBA Finals in NY later that day, is an option we are open to.

What

  • We will be recording and posting a 15-minute vlog from every game I attend on the Snapback Sports YouTube channel, with the goal of highlighting a different fanbase in each video.
  • If the knockouts fall into place the right way, we could luck into covering 34 of 48 different fanbases at the World Cup this summer, but we will most likely land closer to 30.
  • I will also be posting social content across my socials, documenting my entire journey along the way.
  • Some fun stats that are making this happen
    • Budget is $75,000 for the journey,
    • Travel is 44,753 total miles, nearly 2x around the earth
    • Almost 5 full days spent in the air (116 hours of flight time)
    • 34 matches · 13 stadiums · 13 cities · 3 countries · 10 US states
    • 10 of my 35 flights depart before 7 AM.
    • My average post-game window to catch a flight is 4.6 hours.
    • My tightest is 2 hours, straight from a quarterfinal to a redeye

Why?

On the surface

  • I love soccer- I grew up playing it, I am a huge USMNT and Tottenham fan, and going to the World Cup has been my lifelong dream
  • This is what Snapback Sports does- we find the best experience in sports, and we take big swings when doing so.
  • We will be breaking a Guinness World Record along the way, and elevating the brand + growing our socials
  • A layer deeper
    • We’ve been lucky enough to go to multiple NFL international games, soccer games abroad, and India-Pakistan cricket (in NY)
    • These have been some of my favorite experiences in life.
    • Why? When you enter someone else’s country or sport with genuine excitement and curiosity, they are so excited to show you and teach you what they love.
    • I am hoping that by joining a fanbase at each stop they take me in, and are excited to show them their culture and why this game means so much to them
  • The deepest layer
    • I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about why this journey means so much to me
    • I have lived a very privileged life, and I am very lucky to have done so.
    • What I recognized was that I have never truly been uncomfortable in my life.
    • This is an opportunity for me to be uncomfortable
    • To be transparent, the idea of this scares the shit out of me.
    • It is hard. I am going to have to talk to people from all over the country. I am running on zero sleep the whole time. And have a job to get done.
    • I recognize how lucky I am to be doing this, but going to a game every day of the World Cup will, without a doubt, be the hardest thing I have ever done, and that makes me uncomfortable.
    • Maybe by talking to people from around the world and experiencing some discomfort for the first time, I come out the other side a better version of myself
